We are beach people

Summer time by the beach is a very special thing. It just FEELS right, ya know? Like you're on vacation all the time and that nothing else matters. It helps to make Summer feel really care free, even with loads of stress.
I love palm trees, and I love the way they make any picture look like paradise.
This pic was in the gorgeous St Augustine, we went when Reid's parents were here. (sadly I didn't get many cute pics.)
This is Jackson and Jackson. No kidding. These two are buds and they play awesome together.

I never want to forget the way their little feet look all covered in sand and the way they smell like the ocean after.

4th of July was special. I missed the fireworks at Sugarhouse but it was so cool to be at the beach. Everyone was listening to music and lighting their own fireworks, so laid back.

I love that we are having this chance to raise our kids by the beach, even if it is only temporary. There is something so special about watching them run through the waves and get more and more adventurous every time, catch crabs and fish and learn about wildlife and how to be kind to it, see build and use their imagination creating a castle or just digging in the sand.

I hope that the tranquility of the ocean will wear off on them and they will carry it around with them for the rest of their lives, even if our time here only ends up being short.
