I've got that feeling...

you know... THAT one.  No it's not baby hungry :)  I'm feeling all nostalgic, so I guess I should share my thoughts via blog for all the world to see!  New Years always leaves me thinking about self improvement, so instead of setting a bunch of goals that would take a year to accomplish and quitting after the first week, I have decided to break them down into smaller goals that I want to accomplish in three months and weekly steps to get me there.

One of my goals is to do more learning/teaching things with my kids.  I am kind of at a loss at any majorly great ideas so I was curious if all my teacher friends could help me out.  What do you think is the most important skill for a two year old to learn, what about a four year old?  Any suggestions on books or other materials that might help?  I would appreciate the advice!

And I thought I would leave you with a photo of what we are enjoying this beautiful January:

Also, who's kids are these?  Why oh why does time move at lightening speed?  I wish I could freeze them just like they are at every stage and never forget.

play with them.
sit down and read aloud to them.
sit down and just play with them.
sometimes it's hard, i have to force myself most days. but, when i do i'm also so glad that i did, and find myself wishing i did it more often.
